How can I keep my Disney+ account secure?

Protecting your privacy and security is a top priority for The Walt Disney Company and we have implemented several processes to ensure we protect your data.

To ensure your account is safe, if we notice suspicious login activity, our policy is to lock your account within four hours and end all active sessions associated with your Disney+ subscription.

Once your account has been locked, you will need to reset your password on your next visit. The next time you attempt to log in, you will be prompted to complete a One-Time Passcode process. After completing that process, you will then be prompted to change your password.

 

How can I best protect my Disney account password?

Good passwords help keep your Disney account secure. Need a few tips on creating a secure password? Here are six helpful ones:

  1. Don't use common passwords such as "123456" or "qwerty"
  2. Use a unique password for your Disney account. Stay away from using Disney, D+, your name or variations on your email address or anything that can be easily guessed.
  3. Don’t use the same password on multiple sites.
  4. Change your password regularly, steps to change it are found on the Help Center here.
  5. Consider using a trusted password manager available through your browser or a third-party product to generate and maintain unique passwords for your online accounts.
  6. Any time you change your password, make sure to check your inbox (including any promotional or spam folders) for a One Time Passcode email.
