How do I customize the appearance of subtitles and captions?

Aside from a few rare exceptions, Disney+’s movies, series and TV shows offer Closed Captioning and Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH) in English. A wide selection of content also offers subtitles, as well as audio dubbing, in a variety of languages. (See more about those languages here.)

Web Browser:
To customize your subtitles, follow these steps:

  1. Enable Subtitles and Closed Captioning
  2. Remain on the subtitles and closed captioning page after selecting the keyboard in the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. A ‘Settings’ gear will now be in the upper right corner, click here.
  4. Use the features and options to customize your subtitles and captions to your desired color, size, font and more!
     

iOS:
To customize your subtitles, follow these steps:

  1. Click the General Settings app
  2. Select ‘Accessibility’
  3. Use the options to customize your experience.
     

Android:
To customize your subtitles, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Accessibility settings screen
  2. Go to the Hearing/Audio section
  3. Use the options to customize your experience.
     

LG TVs, Samsung Tizen Smart TVs and other Smart TVs
To customize your subtitles, follow these steps:
