I am getting 'Error Code 1017'

If you see the following error:

We are having a problem. Please exit the app and try again. Error Code: 1017 -SERVICES_STARTUP_FAILURE

 

It means you need to restart the hardware you’re using, and relaunch the Disney+ app.

To restart your hardware, please follow these steps:

  1. Unplug your device for 30 seconds so it is completely powered down
  2.  Plug your device back in and wait for it to fully restart
  3.  Sign in to Disney+
