How do I use subtitles?

Most Disney+ content is available with Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH). See the detailed instructions below for each supported device.  

Web Browser

While playing a video, you can enable subtitles via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. 

iOS

You can enable subtitles via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

To further customise Closed Captions and Subtitles, visit the Accessibility settings available via the General Settings app on your iOS device. From here, you can also customise the style and display of Closed Captions and Subtitles (SDH). 

Android

You can enable subtitles via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

To further customise Closed Captions and Subtitles, visit the Hearing/Audio section of the Accessibility settings screen. From here, you can also customise the style and display of Closed Captions and Subtitles.

Xbox

On Xbox, while playing a video, subtitles can be enabled via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. 

To further customise Closed Captions and Subtitle display settings, visit the Settings screen and navigate to the Ease of Access screen and then to Closed Captioning and adjust the Closed Captions display styles from there.  

PlayStation

On PlayStation, while playing a video, subtitles can be enabled via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

To customise subtitle display settings, visit the Settings app and navigate to the Accessibility screen, select Closed Captions and adjust the Closed Captions display styles from there. 

Samsung Tizen Smart TVs

While playing a video, subtitles can be enabled via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. 

To further customise subtitles, navigate to the TV settings menus.

LG TVs

While playing a video, subtitles can be enabled via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. From here, select the subtitle styling tab and navigate down to choose your preferred subtitle styling options.

Other Smart TVs

While playing a video, subtitles can be enabled via the keyboard icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. From here, select the subtitle styling tab and navigate down to choose your preferred subtitle styling options.
